Silhouette Card - CASology

Here is a card I made to go along with CASology's Challenge this week of: Silhouette

I created this birthday card for an ice skater who recently turned 15.

I cut the silhouette out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I came up with the sentiment myself and printed it out using my inkjet printer.

Geek Week at Glitter Ink

This week I am sharing some fun "geeky/nerdy" cards!  I have noticed a slight growing trend with geekery (and that makes me smile, since I kind of think I am a total geek at heart).

I thought it would be fun to create some geek themed cards for my Etsy shop.

Female Geekery Card:

Male Geekery Card

The glasses were cut using my Silhouette Cameo and the sentiment was created on MS Word and printed (I left the spaces between "for" and "you" so that I could stamp a cute little red heart).

Have a glitter filled day!

Back to School

It's that time of year when everyone is getting their little ones (and big kids) ready for going back to school!  I love creating Back to School and Teacher Appreciation cards.  Here is what I created for my son with cardstock and photopolymer clear stamps last year as he headed off to his first day of Kindergarten.

This year I am working on creating something for his first day of 1st grade!  Stay tuned!

I created this cute lil' card to say Thank You to his awesome teacher at the end of the year.

And finally, I made his teacher a set of 6 note cards that she is able to use for any occasion.  Whether she needs to thank a parent for donating supplies or perhaps she needs to send a thank you note for a special gift from a student.

Available HERE at my Etsy Shop

Shark Week!

I admit it!  I am a shark geek!  ;)  Last year my 5 year old son and I sat on our butts for a week watching all the cool shark shows!  We were hooked and have been looking forward to the start of Shark Week 2013.

I made him a card.  He went away for the weekend with daddy and his lil' sis so I could enjoy some time with a few of my girlfriends.  :)  So this lil' card will be waiting for him when he comes home later today.

Celebrate your inner geek! :)

Happy Friday!

Here's a card I made yesterday!  This just shares a part of me that I think people don't quite know it's there.  lol!  My inner geek/nerd.  I love sci-fi, superheroes, I want to go to Comic Con one day, discovery shows, shark week, etc!  :)

This would be a super fun card to send to one of your geek/nerd friends, right?  (and when I use the term geek/nerd...I am referring to that in a very positive and AWESOME way).

Get Well Soon

Happy Thursday!  Here's to the promise that I am going to try to post to my blog daily (Monday - Friday) or at the very least aim for 5 days a week!  Do you think I can accomplish that?

I feel so overwhelmed when posting things these days...facebook, twitter, my Etsy shop, online card galleries, the blog, do all those other peeps out there in blog land do it?  lol!

Anyway...I figure if I keep my posts short and sweet for now (and maybe always) then I should be able to accomplish what I set out to do...share my paper crafting creations with you!  :)

Here's what I have for you today:

Just wanted to show the dimension of the bandage here:

Spiderman Birthday

Hi there!  I just wanted to share a quick birthday card I created for a cute lil' guy who is turning 4 this weekend!  He's into superheroes and likes Spiderman.  I was so excited that I was finally going to be able to put my Superhero Cutting Files from Lisa over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Blog.  Here Superhero files are SUPER cute!  So go check them out!

Is it wrong that I kind of want the parents to save this card and frame it?  LOL!  The background images are from Fresh Squeezed Stamps - Subway Series

I mounted Spidey with some 3D Zots to give the card a little more OOMPH!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a glitteriffic day!

CAS-ual "Tuesday" Challenge! Mapquest

Hi there!  Today I just wanted to take a quick second to share a card with you I made for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge this week.  The theme was "mapquest" and I am so into doing these map type/long distance type cards lately.

So here's what I created:

I used my awesome silhouette machine and some super fun chevron paper from Michaels.  The sentiment was printed on my home computer.  So cute and simple, right?

Thanks for stopping by!!!  Hope your day is filled with sparkle and shine!

Baby Card with CAS(E) this Sketch and Monday Mood Board!

Hi there!  Just wanted to share a quick and fun baby card that I created using 2 super fun challenges!  This week I played along with the Monday Mood Board with Wplus9stamps and a sketch from the blog: CAS(E) this Sketch...and I am also playing along with the CASology Blog: Weekly challenge for the 2nd time this week.  Yellow is the cue.

I gravitated toward the yellow after seeing the Monday Mood Board post...and I instantly knew what paper I wanted to use...and then I knew I could submit it for the CASology Challenge as well.  I think 3 combined challenges may be the most I have ever attempted.  But they all just seemed to fit.  :)   As you can see I just reversed the sketch and moved the sentiment down a bit.
I think it turned out quite well.  It's bright and cheery!  Perfect to give to a friend who is expecting a baby girl.
The onesie image, crown image, princess sentiment and onesie die are all from Wplus9 Stamps.  The "congrats" sentiment is from PTI's Congrats All Ways, and the paper is white and Raspberry Fizz from PTI and the yellow chevron is from Michaels.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a glitterful day!  :)
