Well, it's 2012. I cannot believe a whole other year has come and gone and I have not been very good about posting here.

If there are still any followers out there, please know, that starting this Monday I am going to try to post regularly. I took a bit of a stamping break through the last months of pregnancy with my daughter...and the break continued after she was born. She is almost 8 months old, and in the last few months I have been able to get back to enjoying my stamping hobby.

I look forward to sharing my new creations.

I will add in order to save time and effort on my part, I won't do much typing regarding supplies and materials. But you are always more than welcome to send me a message if you have any questions.

I finally got to be crafty again! It took me 3 whole days to get it done, while juggling 1 baby, 1 almost 4.5 year old, laundry, housework, etc.

I got this idea on Pinterest and really wanted to try to make one for myself!

Project: Simplify – Hot Spot #2 Paper Clutter

This week’s project was to declutter the paper that piles up in our lives. I think for the most part, we have control over what paper goes where. But here at this spot in our kitchen, things tend to pile up.

Unfortunately, some of this paper, made its way to another place (my craft/office area) where paper can sometimes pile up. But we are in the process of re-organizing and putting up a work space with cabinets, counters, and shelves. So, I know it will get dealt with in the next month or so. But I did manage to get rid of quite a bit and decluttered the area. I have a goal with myself to keep it looking this neat.

Project Simplify: Week 1 - Closet Hot Spot

Hello! It's been a while since I last posted and this will not be a stamping related post, either. I have been busy growing a human being. :) And with just about 9 weeks left until our little Princess arrives, I figured it's time to get as organized as I can.

A friend introduced me to this blog: Simple Mom and this week started off a project called Project: Simplify. For the next 5 weeks we work on tackling different areas of our home to declutter, clean, and organize. This is something I know I need to do before the chaos of Baby #2.

So this week's Project: Simplify: Hot Spot #1 was your wardrobe and closet. That was honestly not the first place I had wanted to start out with, and being pregnant made it a little bit more difficult to know what to discard or keep. But I did my best and I guess in about 6 months time, I will just try to go through things again.

I can also honestly say that I feel so accomplished after getting this task done. After we moved in last May, our closet never really got the attention it deserved and it was a little bit of a mess.

Another quick post here today! As you read this I am on my way to Tennessee. My little guy and I take a trip there every year and almost every year it coincides with a group gathering of my LOSTie friends. :) This year it’s in Atlanta.

Happy Friday! Today I am sharing a Bellariffic Birthday card! I am loving this one (if I do say so myself)!

Colored Bella in with Copic markers, gave her a fancy, fun outfit, and even though you can’t tell from the picture, her apron is paper pieced, and I also re-stamped the cake, cut it out and mounted it on a dimensional dot to make it !pop!

Here is a card I created for the Just Us Girls Challenge #42 (it was a color challenge). As you can see the color challenge was green, navy, orange, cream.

These are not the colors I usually reach for, so it was kind of a tough challenge for me. Anything without PINK is tough! :)

I picked this mermaid as my image because I am really trying to practice coloring more with my copics. I need more colors though to be able to do more blending. I tried my best, what do ya think?

I basically CASE’d this card from Nichole Heady from Papertrey Ink. I just loved this card when she first showcased it, and I need to send someone a little note to let them know how much they brightened my day when I needed it.

Here is my card for this week’s Cupcake Inspiration Challenge (sorry it’s late, due to technical issues and being out of town).

I tried a different sized card. It measures 3.5 by 6.5. I like it, now I just need to find perfect fitting envelopes. :)

The flower embellishment was punched using the Paper Shapers: Retro Flower Punch (medium and large).

The border was punched using Fiskars: Threading Water Border Punch.

The paper is from Basic Grey: Green at Heart

The sentiment is from PTI (Delightful Dahlia) and I also used the Spellbinders Label 1 Dies.

Happy Easter! Here is my card for this week’s Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. I just love how bright and cheerful it turned out. I kind of went with the “flowers” from the festive little cupcakes that Rachel picked out for this week. I tried to kind of incorporate the colors, but I don’t know if that really worked out. No matter what, the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge inspired me to make a card, so that’s all that matters.

My layout comes from Tracy’s Sketchy Thursday #77. I used the adorable Chelsea from The Greeting Farm. My paper is by Cosmo Cricket – Garden Variety. I inked the edge of the polka dot paper with my Tea Dye ink. The flower comes from Imaginise – Basic Paper Flowers. The flower was mounted with a few Pop Up Glue Dots.

Happy Sunday! My post is going to be short and sweet! I am running out of time to post this and my hubby and I are headed out the door! :)

Look at these oh so pretty cupcakes!!! This is for Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #52!!! (Click on the picture for a bigger view)

Here is my card! My PSE is not cooperating with me so I wasn’t able to do much editing.

These cupcakes perfectly matched this lovely paper: Flutter Specialty Paper Pack

I used my Fiskars Border Punch – Threading Water to add a little scalloped border at the bottom. I covered up the punched holes so there was just a tiny bit of scalloped detail.

I then punched my Retro Flower Punch – Large and Retro Flower Punch – Medium to create a flower embellishment. I put together and mounted the flower with my Mini Glue Dots.

I used my Terrifically Tacky Tape as adhesive for my Dazzling Diamonds glitter! I am LOVING this technique lately! Soooo pretty!

Finally I added some Stardust Stickles to the middle of my flower and added a little to a few of the dots and flowers on the DP for some extra sparkle!

The paper is Pink Passion from SU, New Leaf and Select White from PTI, and the sentiment is from PTI’s set Egg Hunt.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening! Happy Sunday! Here’s my card for Rachel’s Cupcake Inspiration Challenge for this week.

This cupcake is simply adorable and so fitting for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day Holiday this Wednesday!

Check out the HSE Store to see all the fab products Rachel has to offer. She’s gotten some yummy papers in from Pink Paislee, KaiserKraft, Basic Grey, etc! I used quite a few goodies from her store on this week’s card.

Miss Anya (The Greeting Farm), Fiskars Threading Water Punch (I saw this "ruffling" done by Dawn McVey and wanted to give it a try), Tacky Strip Tape (to apply my Dazzling Diamonds glitter), Crystal Stickles, and although you can’t tell in the picture, the Miss Anya image is mounted with some Zva Dimensional’s to add a little “pop!”

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #48

Happy Sunday! OMG!! Don’t you just wish these yummy cupcakes were sitting in front of you right now? I know I do. Although I don’t know whether I would want to just ooohhh and ahhhh over them or eat them right up! They are just so delicious and pretty looking! I was really drawn to the color scheme of this one, so that’s what I went with.

Ok…so, seriously I {heart} this card! It makes me so happy! I went with Pink Pirouette cardstock as my base, some Real Red and Green Galore to coordinate and got down to crafting!

The CB Folder is Moroccan Screen (unfortunately Rachel is not carrying this one right now). But don’t you LOVE what I did with it? I used a bunch of teeny, tiny, FABULOUS Zva Creative Crystals in Red and added them to the middle of the flower type design. I punched out a layer of Real Red cardstock with my Fiskars Threading Water border punch and then used my EK Success Retro Flower punches to create a fun 3-D Embellishment! (Rachel did carry these and I believe is expecting to get more plus some other EK Success punches, so stay tuned!) I mounted the flower with a Zva Creative Dimensional. The tiny stamped polka dot background and the sentiment come from 2 separate PTI sets.

Happy Sunday! It’s another round of Cupcake Inspiration from Rachel over at Hope Stamps Eternal. Today I am showing off some super adorable paper, buttons, and one of my all time fave CB Embossing Folders! I used the recent layout from CPS Card Sketches to make a sweet little baby card!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #46

Hello! Happy Cupcake Day! And HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! Would you just take a look at these super, fabulous, adorable, yummy and delicious looking cupcakes that Rachel has chosen for us today to use as our Cupcake Inspiration Challenge? I mean….WOWZA!!! I think I could make a whole set of cards using this picture as inspiration!!!

Of course, there’s no time for that when I’ve got a 3 year old clinging to me at all times of the day! LOL! So just 1 card will have to do. This card uses the sketch from Tracy's ESS Sketchy Thursday #70.

I used Stella from The Greeting Farm for my card, in honor of Valentine’s Day. I created my background using the Swiss Dots CB Folder on my Hibiscus Burst cardstock. That super cute DP is from Bella Blvd (Keeping Warm). I punched my border with the Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch and the flowers were punched out using 2 different size Paper Shaper punches that I purchased from HSE. Rachel is not carrying these exact punches right now, but check out the punches she does have IN STOCK. I mounted the flower using my all time FAVORITE 3-D adhesives: Zva Creative Dimensionals. I made my card using Tracy’s Sketchy Thursday Challenge. It was a great sketch to showcase this gorgeous paper from Basic Grey: Sugar Rush. My image is from The Greeting Farm. Meet Miss Anya Love. Random Amusing Challenge #52

Yay! I'm so glad I got to play in Glenda's Random Amusing Challenge again!

The challenge was to make a clean and simple card and combine it with any other challenge.

I made a clean and simple card by using a past sketch from the Clean & Simple Blog: Fall To Layout #72. I also paired this challenge with the most recent A Muse Lounge Challenge #13: A Colorful Challenge. They give 3 different color combos to choose from and I chose french roast, swiss red and popsicle pink (which I translated into Kraft, Hibiscus Burst, and Pure Poppy from PTI).

I cut out the top of the cupcake and mounted it with a Zva Dimensional. I truly love how this card turned out! Thanks for the challenge, Glenda!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #44

I have had a lot going on this week/weekend, so this post is going to be short and sweet. :)

This is the sweet and delicious cupcake Rachel chose for us to use this week. YUMMY!

I used the Fall To Layout #76 from one of my favorite blogs: Clean and Simple.

It was a great way to showcase this fun paper from Basic Gray: Sugar Rush. I even punched out a heart from the paper with my EK Success Heart Punch to add to one of my little squares. The only stamp I used was for the sentiment and that came from the Simple Valentine Set from PTI.

I punched out my four squares with my Creative Memories square punch. That paper as well as the small strip of lavender paper also comes from the Basic Gray: Sugar Rush paper pad. I mounted the heart with a Zva Creative Dimensional.

And those of you who know me well know that I rarely make a card without glitter. So I pulled out my handy dandy, Stardust Stickles, and added some bling to some of the words/hearts on the paper as well as my heart embellishment. :)

It's hard to tell, but I colored some of the robot's machine parts in with a clear Copic Spica Glitter Pen. It looks so great IRL!

Yes, I know, I know...the holidays are over so why am I sharing holiday cards?

Unfortunately, we did not make it to Wisconsin this year to visit my hubby's side of the family. He has two half-sister's there, and this year we got them each a gift card. Since I knew we were not headed there we kind of slacked in the gift giving process and didn't get our gifts mailed out to them in time. However, in our defense, we were hoping to get up there the first or second week of January. That's not happening, so it's time to mail things out. I needed something cute and simple to put the giftcards in. Here is what I came up with. I learned 2 things from this quick project, 1) I LOVE the new Hybrid Ink Perfect Match Ink Pads from Papertrey Ink!!! (I got my first new ink pad with the new formula in Aqua Mist) and 2) I LOVE THIS COLOR COMBO!!!

Random Amusing Challenge #51

Hi there! Just wanted to share a quick card I made using Glenda's Random Amusing Challenge #51. I have not gotten to play along with as many of her challenges as I would like, but I am hoping to be able to squeeze them in here and there to give me a chance to play with more of my stamps from A Muse. This weeks challenge was a sketch. I got my idea for the background paper from this card, using the For-Bitten stamp set from Our Craft Lounge.

This card is for my cousin, who is a MAJOR Twi-hard fan! (of course, I am too). But I love any excuse to ink up some vampire stamps. I just love this Edward from A Muse and I think the sentiment fits the "twilight theme" as well. :)

Just wanted to share a quick Valentine card I made using the newest and most AWESOME paper release from My Mind's Eye. Make sure to check out the line Be Loved over at Hope Stamps Eternal! She's got great prices and SUPER FABULOUS customer service!

I used the layout from Tracy over at Eat Sleep Stamp. This was for sketch #66. It's just awesome when you want to show off some fabulous DP! My goal this year is to USE the paper and not just HOARD it all! LOL! I know I will be using this layout again for sure!

The heart is also a die cut from My Mind's Eye: Be Loved! So the only stamping on the card was the sentiment, which comes from PTI's set "Tiny Treats:Valentine." I added the sparkle myself by using my favorite GLITTER PRODUCT: Stardust Stickles.

Happy Sunday! Welcome to another edition of Rachel's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge! Just look at the bright and cheery cupcakes she has picked out for today's inspiration!

I had a lot of fun with this one and really like the finished card. It will be perfect card to send a cheery hello to a friend, don't ya think?

I used some of the AWESOME paper from My Mind's Eye newest release! Oh boy are there some yummy papers in there...double sided too! I got my pack of goodies and just didn't know where to start. I want to hoard it all...but I also want to use it all too! :)

Anyway, I went with the "cheery" theme I got from the Cupcake Inspiration picture and kind of went with the color scheme as well, but my yellow may be just a tad bit brighter. I also threw an Imaginise Petal Pop on (in white and colored with a Copic) to capture some of the floral elements from the cuppies. A little dash of Stardust Stickles along the wires of Chelsea's little iPod finishes it off. Isn't Chelsea just adorable? She is from the newest stamps released from The Greeting Farm.

I also used PTI's Polka Dot Basics II on my Cameo Coral paper from SU. The sentiment comes from Stamping Bella. A white button was adhered to the flower with a glue dot, and the flower was mounted with a Zva Creative Dimensional. The layout comes from this past week's CPS 149.

With Sympathy

Hello there.

Today I am sharing a sympathy card with you. It's never really fun to share these types of cards. I hate to have to make them, but unfortunately, a friend we know lost their father this week due to cancer spreading in his bones.

I don't have much in the way of "sympathy" sentiments...but I quickly fixed that by ordering Amy R's Sympathy Sentiments.

For this card I used the "Life" set by PTI as well as a sentiment from "Scattered Showers" also from PTI.

I used Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum cardstock from SU and Elegant Eggplant ink from SU. I stamped the image once and then moved it over a little and stamped off the access ink to kind of give it a shadow type of effect or a more subdued look.

Happy New Year! I've been slacking in the stamping department for quite some time. I think I've lost my mojo. This is actually my first card for 2010! It took a lot of pushing to get myself to sit down and actually stamp. I know once I get a few cards made the bug will bite me again, but right now, I am a stampin' slug.

So, anyway, on to the wonderful Cupcake Inspiration Challenge from Rachel over at Hope Stamps Eternal. The Sweeties have all created something using these pretty little cupcakes as our inspiration. Please play along! Cupcake stamps are not necessary...just go with the flow and where ever this picture takes you for inspiration just STAMP IT OUT!

I used some pretty new papers from Basic Grey: Origins and Sugar Rush for my card and the sweetest and newest image from The Greeting Farm, Stella. My layout comes from Tracy over at Eat Sleep Stamp, it's Sketch #65. It's been a while since I played along with one of her sketch challenges.

I colored Stella in with my Copics and added a little sparkle to her with some Stardust Stickles.

I stuck with super simple to get myself back into the swing of things with stamping. Hopefully by next week my mojo will be back in full swing! :)

I had fun coloring this sweet image of Madelynn from The Greeting Farm. Currently, Rachel is out of stock of this image, but I could not pass up using her. The little heart pocket on her coat matched the hearts on these cupcakes. And I knew she'd look so sweet all decked out in her Christmas Red and Green.

Madelynn is colored in with Copic markers. I added the white polka dots with my Sakura White Gel Pen. The buttons on her coat are silver pearl dots. Her little heart pocket was stamped a second time and then cut out to add a tiny bit of dimension with a 3-D Mini Gluedots. The entire image is mounted to the card using Zva Creative Dimensionals. I also used the Snow Dots and Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folders. The sentiment is from PTI's Signature Christmas and was stamped using Tuxedo Black ink.

This card also uses the sketch from the Card Positioning Systems blog: CPS146 and the challenge from the Crazy 4 Challenges blog C4C15 - Snowflakes/Snowman themed card.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #37

Happy Cupcake Day! Unfortunately, I have not been able to get a card created for this weeks Cupcake Inspiration Challenge from Rachel. Just checkout out these super cute cupcakes! I mean, aren't they just adorable? How could anyone go and eat these cute lil' snowmen?

I do have a few ideas stirring around in my head, but as of about 1:00 am Friday night I was dealing with a sick little 2 year old. He was up all night, my husband and I were up all night, and Saturday we were all exhausted and my little guy was still miserable.

I am happy to note that as of about 8:00 am, my son is still sleeping. :) We put him down at 7:15 last night and he fell asleep in like 2 minutes flat. I also had a wonderful night's sleep. I think I got in a good 10 hours. Ahhhhh, I feel so rested. So hopefully I can get a chance today to whip something up.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #37

Happy Sunday!

Rachel picked out this pretty little cupcake as our inspiration for today. It looks so sweet and yummy. I tried to stick with the red/green color but also just went with an overall Christmas theme for my card.
The point of these inspirations is to get us to stamp and create and finish a card, right? So my mission has been accomplished!
I used this adorable stamp from Imaginisce. Isn't he just so sweet? I stamped and then re-stamped the image with Tuxedo Black ink so I could cut out his nose and then mounted it with Zva dimensionals. The mitten image is also from Imaginisce but Rachel does not currently have this stamp in her store. However, check out all the super cute items she does have from Imaginisce.
The paper is from Cosmo Cricket: Jolly by Golly. I thought it tied in with my stamped images and the overall theme of my card.

I paper pieced the mittens and mounted them with Zva Dimensionals as well and then finished off the card by adding a sentiment from PTI's Signature Christmas and applying a little bit of sparkle with my favorite glitter addition: Stardust Stickles!

Good morning! I am off to a tad bit of a late start! Rachel's picked out a sweet looking cupcake for this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge! I was inspired by so many things from this picture. The snowman, the pearls, the snowflakes, the colors, etc. There are so many different elements to pull from this picture. I may make one or two more cards using this inspiration. But for right now, here is the card I wanted to share with you.

I immediately decided to use my Snow Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and I mounted that piece using the Zva Creative Dimensionals (2mm) to really give the card some depth. I love these things! And they are so affordable too! I went with the winter theme of this picture and used my NEW stamp from Imaginisce: Polar Expressions Mittens. I paper pieced them with some Aqua Mist cardstock from PTI. And for the buttons I added Zva Pearl Lines (white) to give the mittens a little more "pizazz!" I outlined the image with some Stardust Stickles to add a sparkly finishing touch. The sentiment is from Stamping Bella and all cardstock is from Papertrey Ink. Those pretty flowers in my picture are from Imaginisce: Gotta Buy Basics...aren't they so pretty! I just love the colors. I need to stop hoarding them and make a card using these flowers!

Holiday Card Order

I recently received an order to do 40 Holiday cards with a frog theme. I purchased this super cute stamp from Penny Black and whipped out 40 different cards using various papers from Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Hope Stamps Eternal. Some of the super cute lines are from Cosmo Cricket, Bella Blvd, Imaginisce, and My Mind's Eye.
There is still plenty of time to get some of this fab paper for yourself!

In the spirit of saving myself some time...and my reader's some time, I just put the pictures into a slideshow. The actual stamped image was pretty big, so there wasn't too much flexibility allowed with the layout. But I definitely had fun creating all these cards.

Hello! Hello! Happy Sunday! I am finally back for another Cupcake Inspiration Challenge with the HSE Sweeties!

It's great to be settled in to our temporary home and it's even more wonderful to be sitting at my crafting table again!

Rach picked out a yummy looking cupcake, but when doesn't she pick a cupcake that isn't delicious looking?

In the spirit of the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday I decided to make a card for the occasion. I rarely make cards for this event, so I figured why not give it a shot. I used some lovely paper from Cosmo Cricket.

I also used the Fall to Layout #68 from the Clean & Simple Blog.

I made my own embellishments using my circle scallop punch and other circle punches. I am so addicted to making these. They are so fun to make and are a great way to add a little "oomph" to any card. :) They are mounted using my fave Zva Creative Dimensionals.

Happy Edward Cullen Day!

It's the evening all us Twi-hards have been waiting for...our favorite vamp is back on the big screen to make us swoon! I won't be seeing it tonight or tomorrow, and probably not even this weekend. I just knew I would not enjoy the experience if I had to sit and watch while hundreds of tweens are screaming and freaking out when the hotties make their appearance on screen. So I've got my nose in the New Moon book for round #2 and I plan on seeing it in the middle of the afternoon next week. (I swear I act like I am an 80 year old or something!) LOL!

Speaking of being back, I too am back from my "Blog Break." We are pretty much all settled in to our new "temporary" home and I am back in my "temporary" craft room creating like a mad woman!

In honor of the New Moon release today, I thought it only appropriate to post this card. :)

I paper pieced Edward's outfit with some denim looking DP and Smokey Shadow from PTI. The background was created with one of my new faves from PTI, Giga Guidelines. The sentiment and Edward stamp are from A Muse. The rhinestones are by Zva Creative...you can pick them up at Hope Stamps Eternal.

I apologize for the horrible picture. I am working with new lighting at this house and it's been grey and gloomy outside.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #31

Hello there! It's time for a sweet treat again (but have no fear, in case you over indulged yourself yesterday on Halloween this treat you don't have to eat). All you need to do is take a look at this delicious, happy, and sweet little cupcake and let it inspire you to create something handmade!

Rachel picked out another goodie...didn't she? As soon as I looked at this cupcake I knew the paper I wanted to use as well as the stamps. I think the overall card turned out pretty well. I did
struggle a bit with the layout but I eventually worked it all out. Do you like my 2nd attempt at "jazzing" up my photos? :)

Anyway, I pulled out my Basic Grey: June Bug Collection from the HSE store, my Little Lady set from PTI and got to creating. I even paper-pieced the ladybug's wings with the Basic Grey: June Bug paper and just colored the dots in black. I know, I know after almost losing my eyesight coloring in a million dots for last week's card I said I would never do it again...however it only consisted of using 1 color Copic and it was a very small area. I think it turned out just perfect for this card. I mounted the wings/body with some dimensionals from Zva Creative. I also placed 2 Zva Creative Jet Black Crystals from Hope Stamps Eternal on the Little Lady's antenna.

Tree Trimming CASE

Hi there! Just wanted to share a card I made using PTI's Tree Trimming Trio set. Usually, when I first get my PTI goodies in the mail, when I ink them up for the first time I go back to the cards made by the PTI Design Team that first inspired me to purchase the set and I will CASE a few cards to get my mojo flowing. I usually change things here and there with the card so it feels a bit more like my own creation. But by doing that it really does help my creativity with the set.

HERE is a card Nicole created that really made me feel as though I *NEEDED* this set. I love the colors she used.

As you can see by looking at my card, I stuck with the same color scheme but added a sentiment from Dawn's Signature Christmas set and added LOTS of bling! :)

Oh and PS - please don't mind my stab at getting a little more creative with my picture taking. I thought I would try it out...but I personally think this just looks silly. I don't think I have an eye for that stuff. LOL!

Happy Sunday! As you read this, I am up to my eyeballs in packing! ACK! We've got about 2 weeks to pack our place up. Have no worries, my stamp stuff is the last to go. :)

Anyway it's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge time over at Hope Stamps Eternal. This week Rachel picked out a colorful and delicious looking cupcake.

Wowza! I think I almost lost my eyesight while creating this card. About a quarter of the way through I really wanted to scrap the idea all together, but after spending so much time coloring in all these little circles I realized I was fully committed and had to keep coloring. This paper is from Basic Grey: Junebug Collection. After I regained normal eyesight and was able to look at my fully finished card I was happy that I followed through with my idea. :) I think I captured all the pretty colors from this yummy looking cupcake that Rachel picked out for us this week.

And might I add that if this cupcake was set down in front of me, I don't think it would last very long. Those little chocolate candies look super duper delish!

Rasberry Suite Color Challenge #18

Yeah! I finally got to participate in Dawn's Rasberry Suite Color Challenge again! It's been a while...but I just loved the colors she chose this week and I managed to set aside some "me" time yesterday afternoon to stamp a card.

I just love Dawn's blog...she is seriously one of my stamping idol's! I love the stamp sets she designs for Papertrey Ink as well.

Anyway, I chose to use In Bloom from PTI for this color challenge. I also used In Bloom 8x8 Designer Paper Pack as well. I almost forgot to incorporate Kraft into my card, but I found a way to sneak some in there. I also had to use Ripe Avocado instead of New Leaf. I guess I know what to add to my next PTI order, huh? But I think it was a decent substitution, don't you?
I really like how my card turned out. And of course, I think it's much prettier in person. The weather is dreary and rainy and grey so this was the best picture I could get and I could not quite capture the dimensional effect I got with the flower and the leaves.

LOL! I make myself laugh with these titles sometimes. :)
The challenge over on Just Us Girls (aka JUGS) this week is a color challenge. Click HERE to see all the deets.
We were told to use some sort of aqua, red, and cream. I used Aqua Mist and Vintage Cream from PTI and Real Red from SU.
The stamp set is Everyday Button Bits from PTI. I just love this set. It's so versatile and fun. And did I mention I absolutely love this color combo? I can honestly say, that while I am a PINK girl through and through, Aqua Mist is one of my all time favorite colors in the stamping world!
Of course, you'd never know, because I don't tend to use it a lot, but there is good reason for that. I AM HOARDING IT! Ya know? Cuz I might run out and never be able to get more. LOL!

I also used the layout from this past week's Mojo Monday, but I didn't follow it to the "t."

Here are two more Halloween cards I created a week or so ago. I used Mummy Trevor from C.C. Designs over at All That Scraps.

My first card was made using inspiration from one of my fave stampers: Dawn McVey. She always knows how to rock those background stamps, so I gave it a shot with this one.

My second card was made using a stamp from PTI's Vintage Labels set to create a background, but the idea for it was seen here on Tracy's blog. I just loved how she made the cute little Mummy look as though he is ripping himself right through the card.

Hello all! As you read this I am probably on the road making my way to visit family in Tennessee for a few days. What a perfect time to be going, since I really should be at home packing for the move. :) However, not everything is “official” for the move and family comes first. So the stress will begin when I come home next week. Right?

Here is a fun card I came up with the other day. Just taking a lesson from my stamping idol: Dawn McVey. That girl knows how to seriously work any stamp into a fabulous background. I honestly don’t have too much to choose from in that area, but I saw these polka dot circles from Floral Frenzy from PTI and thought it might work. I truly love the end result. It’s fun and funky, don’t ya think? I kind of went off a layout I used last Sunday (which actually came from a card I CASE’d by Dawn). I made quite a few changes, but I just love the look of adding Zva Crystals to the holes in this Fiskars: Threading Water border punch.

Just wanted to take a quick moment to post my card for this past weekend’s Fall to Layout #63 over at the Clean & Simple Blog. I pulled out my fabulous Basic Grey: Lemonade paper stack from Hope Stamps Eternal online store.

This layout is a super quick and easy layout to use up all that patterned paper you are hoarding! Yeah…I said it…don’t deny it! You know you are! I think all of us paper crafters do that quite a bit.

I also think this layout would work wonderfully for some quick and simple holiday cards as well. I may try that out soon, if I get a few extra seconds between packing up the house. :)

Ha! What a title that is for this post today! :) They both have meaning. I am participating for the first time with a NEW Challenge Blog - Just Us Girls (aka JUGS)and also participating in today's Mojo Monday Challenge...and I am actually doing it on MONDAY!!! Can I get a "WOO HOO?"

Anyway, I am a girl who loves her challenges so this Just Us Girls Challenge Blog sounds like it's going to be lots of fun and very inspiring!

I figured since it is the month of October and it's Breast Cancer Awareness month that I'd go with a "PINK" theme and make a card to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness.

The challenge from the JUGS blog was to use paper piecing on your card. I did quite a bit of that to create some fun pink outfits for these 2 ladies. Both of their shirts and skirts are paper pieced. You can see the Mojo Monday Sketch 108 HERE.

Happy Sunday! And Happy Cupcake Day too! Rachel has chosen some gorgeous cupcakes as our inspiration for this week.

I am not sure if my card entirely pulls from these pretty cupcakes or not, but in all honesty when I saw these, I just knew that I wanted to use this pretty sheet of paper from the Basic Grey Lemonade Collection: Cabbage Rose. Just something about it reminded me of these cupcakes.

Sadly, I am a bit out of mojo, so my card was CASE'd from one of my Stamping Idols: Dawn McVey. You can see the card HERE. I just loved everything about this card, so I wanted to re-create it with this pretty paper.

My mojo has gone out the door due to the fact that we are in talks to sell our townhome. We were about to take it off the market when we got a call on the 1st of October. We got an offer the very next day! I am trying not to get too excited, because there are still lots of factors that play into it all...but needless to say, my mind is not all there as I am focused on positive thoughts that the offer goes through...in which we will need to be out of our home by the first week of November. ACK! NOT a lot of time to prepare and pack...but I will happily accept it.

Anyway, onto my card. I used Cabbage Rose from the Basic Grey Lemonade Collection. The buttons are from Imaginisce: Stitchin' Buttons (they are no longer in stock but check out all the goodies available from Imaginisce at HSE) and the pretty, pink, sparkly gems are from Memory Box.

Fall To Layout #62

I just love the Clean & Simple Blog. I almost always get a chance to play along but I tend to forget about posting my card. I'm still a bit late today, since I am sure they will be posting a new layout this weekend.

With that being said, here is my take on Fall-To-Layout #62. I used some fun holiday paper from Cosmo Cricket's 6x6 Mini Deck: Jolly by Golly from HSE. It doesn't look like she has any in stock at the moment, but check out all the other lines she has from Cosmo Cricket.

I used my Martha Stewart Double Scallop border punch, some cream colored ribbon, and a sentiment from Dawn McVey's Rasberry Suite Stamp Line: Signature Christmas. I added a little sparkle to the DP by going over some of the lines with some Stardust Stickles.

I am just loving Mummy Trevor from All That Scraps! He's so freakin' adorable! Is he not? He's also fun to color and glitter up too! The background paper is from Basic Grey: Eerie Collection over at HSE. I also used a strip from an old fall collection from DCWV.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #27

Finally! I am ready to post my card for todays Cupcake Inspiration Challenge over on Rachel's blog.
To the left you'll see some yummy looking Halloween cupcakes! I followed the color scheme for my card today.
I used the Spiderweb Cuttlebug Folder (Rachel does not have any of these in stock but check out all the fun embossing folders she does have and the ones available for Pre-Order here).
I used my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch and the spider is also from Martha Stewart.
I made the web all sparkly by using the unembossed side of the CB folder and tracing the lines with a Copic Glitter Spica pen. If I had more time on my hands when creating this card I wanted to use Stardust Stickles.

Good morning! I don't have a card to share with you just yet, let's just chalk it up to camera issues at the moment.

I am hoping to have my card posted later this afternoon, however I did want to mention a few things.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #26

Hello! Happy Sunday! I am off to a late start! I think the HSE Sweetie Blog Hop threw me off my game! LOL! If you missed the super fun Halloween Hop make sure to check that out by starting HERE!

These cupcakes that Rachel picked out today are just gorgeous! I mean, would anyone really want to eat one of these? I'd rather spray something on it to preserve it...okay, okay, maybe I would just buy 2: eat 1 and save the other. :)
As beautiful as these cupcakes are I struggled with what to create...of course that could be because I was pressed for time. But anyway, I finally decided to go with the color scheme using this adorable stamp from The Greeting Farm, Hula Anya.

Happy Sunday! Fall is fast approaching and this weeks Cupcake Inspiration Challenge from Rachel over at Hope Stamps Eternal is perfect for getting you into the Fall mood. I just love the cool, crisp air that arrives this time of year and watching the leaves change colors.
Fall is my absolute favorite season, mostly because I get to wear my favorite choice of clothing. On Sundays it's Green and Yellow for my fave football team the Green Bay Packers but every other day of the week I am in jeans and a t-shirt usually with some type of coordinating hoodie or sweatshirt. :) I also enjoy Fall for the holidays of Halloween and Thanksgiving...which then means that Christmas is not too far behind.

Hello! Today I am sharing with you my card for Tracy's BONUS Sketch. I posted last week how she hosts Sketchy Thursday's on her blog and last week was her 1 year anniversary. She has a FABULOUS prize to give away but she needs at least 52 participants in order to hand out the goodies!

Today she surprised us with 1 extra week to round up more participants and she also gave us a BONUS SKETCH so now we have 2 fun sketches to play around with.

I loved today's sketch and it was a perfect opportunity to play with my new Imaginisce papers from Hope Stamps Eternal as well as my new TrickortreataBELLA. I paper pieced all my my Bella with the backside of the Imaginisce paper. I mounted the pumpkin and her treat bag with Zva dimensionals.

I found a new challenge blog! I am so excited. I just love challenges...of course sometimes you wouldn't know it since I never can find the time to participate in all of them. LOL! It's called Crazy 4 Challenges and this week they are on their 2nd challenge. This month they are running with a sketch theme. Here is this week's sketch: C4C2.

I feel as though I was in a bit of a rush to make this card. There are a few "boo-boos" but I am out of time so I had to run with it. Ah well...some days you win and some days you lose...right?

I am! I am! I just LOVE football season! When I saw this stamp from The Greeting Farm over at Hope Stamps Eternal I just HAD TO HAVE IT!!! How cute is this little guy? Can you tell what team I support? LOL!

Yep, I am a cheesehead! Gotta love those Green Bay Packers (and yes, I still love Brett Favre even though he went to the dark side).

Anyway, I am sending someone a little something in the mail and this card fits the theme.

I colored Football Ian in with Copics. I used PTI's Background Basics: Retro to create the backgrounds on my Summer Sun and Glorious Green CS. The sentiment and star comes from a set from Gina K called Just So Sporty. The little football is from a Studio G set I picked up from Michael's sometime last year.

I used Sketch Challenge #213 for my layout. I was in love with it until I added the sentiments. I think something is just "off" about it. But I didn't have any sentiments that would really go with this little football stud. It will just have to do.

Christmas Card #1

I did it! I cannot believe it, but I made a Christmas card in September!!! YIKES! I guess it's better to be prepared though, right?

I had this idea in my head late one night and decided to try it out. It's nothing exciting, but I just wanted to see how a card would look by adding bling using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I think the result turned out pretty. I even added some extra sparkle using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

I inked the edges with some Craft White ink to soften up the edges a bit. I used all different sizes of bling which can be found by clicking HERE at Hope Stamps Eternal.

Hang In There...

Hello! I am so happy that I finally got a chance to stamp again. I've been busy doing lots of other stuff so it was nice to be able to wind down and stamp some.

This card is for a patient I have adopted through the Card Angel program. After applying and being accepted you are assigned a patient who is going through chemo. All you have to do is send cards each week and little gifts here and there just to let them know you are thinking of them and wishing them well. I've only been a Card Angel for a couple of weeks but it truly is so fulfilling. I just love creating cards and sending them out to my patient knowing that it will help to brighten her day, if only for a few moments.

The Character Cafe - Feature Friday

Happy Friday everyone! I am back from my trip up north to Wisconsin and finally may have found some of my mojo. So I am ready to get stamping again!

Today is Friday and it is my last post as part of The Character Cafe's first DT. It's been a fun run and I have had so much fun playing with all of there newest images.

Today I decided to make a cute little Popcorn Holder/Treat Bag using Petra Pumpkin. She's super cute, don't ya think? I am in the Halloween spirit so I thought it was fitting to use Petra Pumpkin and create a fun little treatbag for someone.

I've actually had this Popcorn holder made forever. I never actually got around to finishing it or doing anything with it. I am sure there is a tutorial out there on SCS, but I was given one of these by a friend and I slowly took hers apart and kind of just re-created my own while looking at hers. I colored Petra in with Copic markers, added some Crystal Stickles to her wings, because a little sparkle makes everything better!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #23

Happy Sunday!!! I am currently enjoying some family time in Wisconsin. We left on Thursday and won't be home until Tuesday, but I couldn't miss out on a Cupcake Inspiration Challenge! Check out this weeks BEE-YOU-TEA-FULL cupcake from Rachel over at Hope Stamps Eternal! ---------->>>>>>

This week was a bit challenging for me. I felt like I didn't really have what I wanted or needed to create a card that went along with this pretty picture. But a "FLORAL" them jumped out at me and I decided to pull out my 6x6 paper pack from Daisy D's: Snowflakes & Holly.

I turned to the Clean & Simple blog and used last week's Fall to Layout #57. The card measures 5x5 and it actually came together pretty easily. I do believe I like how it turned out. It's definitely outside of my "cutesie" comfort zone, but that's why they call it a challenge, right?

Oh Edward...

I was lucky enough to find Edward in my mailbox last week. An unexpected surprise in my mailbox from Rachel at Hope Stamps Eternal. I know quite a few "Twi-hards" in my circle of friends and family and thought it would be a perfect time to send them a little love from Edward.

The first card on the left uses sketch #101 from Mojo Monday. My second card uses a sketch from Mojo Monday as well, by Janette Olen during Mojo turns 100.

On the inside of these cards I printed a fun little note to each recipient using some Vampire-speak, such as "Bite Me!"

I also made sure to make Edward sparkle as much as possible. So I used Angel Wings Shimmerz on his face and arms, but then also sprayed the card with Snowflake Glimmer Mist.

I also added some "blood" to my second card using the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch!
I love that punch...I've used for Halloween cards AND winter themed cards. Just punch them out in white and glitter them up with some Stickles and VOILA...ICICLES! I know Martha Stewart does actually have an Icicle Punch now, but in these tough times it is nice to know you can improvise, right? :)

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #22

Hello! Happy Sunday! It's time for another Cupcake Inspiration Challenge from Rachel over at Hope Stamps Eternal. I just love these simple, clean, delicious looking cupcakes Rachel has chosen for us this week.

I pulled out my June Bug paper pack from Basic Grey, some Vintage Cream and Dark Chocolate paper from PTI, and my A La Yummy stamp set from Unity Stamps. I paper pieced the cupcake with some of the June Bug paper, did some faux stitching around the edges, and I also inked up the edges of my June Bug paper with some Dark Chocolate ink. I also took a hole punch and punched out a piece of red paper and created a 3-d cherry using some Diamond Glaze.

The Character Cafe - Feature Friday

Good Afternoon! Sorry I am a bit late in posting this. I was out of town and did not get home until Monday evening. And because my week started out on a Tuesday I was just thrown out of sorts.

Today I am featuring Angelica. Isn't she such a sweet holiday angel? I am not going to lie, I struggled to make a holiday card. I felt like I couldn't truly get into the "spirit."

Needless to say I think she turned out pretty cute. As I sit here typing this and look at the card, I think I may go back and add some red Zva Crystals to her green dress. She'll resemble more of a pretty little Christmas tree, which is what I was going for. If it looks right, I'll re-share the picture. :)

I just love all the paper I used. It's Cosmo Crickets Mini Deck, Jolly by Golly. It's filled with some super fun holiday themed paper! Angelica's wings were filled in with Diamond Stickles and she was colored in with Copics. The sketch it based loosley on the SCS Sketch #243.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #21

Hello and welcome to another super fun Cupcake Inspiration Challenge from Rachel over at Hope Stamps Eternal. The HSE Sweeties have some wonderful creations to share with you!

This week's cupcakes are super fun! When I saw these yummy treats I was inspired by the colors, so that is where I drew my inspiration from.

I went to my Basic Grey 6x6 Paper Packs: June Bug and Lemonade and I even paired that paper up with one of the stamps from the Basic Grey stamp collection. I used the Friday Sketch #73 from Prairie Paper & Ink (I switched it up just a tad, but it was the base for my layout). Right now I have a love affair with all things cherry so I was delighted to use this fun stamp and I was even more delighted when I realized that the Zva Crystal Rhinestones were the PERFECT SIZE to add to the cherries on my tree! Don't you just LOVE it? I also created my own little "brads" by punching 3 yellow dots out with my largest whole punch and then covering them with some Diamond Glaze.

I was assigned this true to life drawing of 2 puppies and a kitty, titled "Strange Harmony." It just so happens that my sister in law just got a new puppy so I thought I'd make her a cute little treat bag for her new little family member.

Here is a little snippet of the topper up close. I colored the image in with Copics.

And here is the treat bag as a whole. I think it turned out pretty cute and I am sure her little puppy, Dakota, will enjoy it too.

Fall To Layout #55

When I saw this past weekend's Fall to Layout I knew I wanted to create a card with this sketch. I just wasn't sure what set to use. I immediately wanted to reach for my PTI: In Bloom set, but I feel like I have been falling back to that set a lot, so I was trying to think of something else to use.

An idea popped into my head to use Polka Dot Basics from PTI and make the featured embellishment a larger circle. Unfortunately, the card looked much better in my head. Personally, I think that it may just be the color choice I chose. I am annoyed that my Taken With Teal ink pad doesn't seem to be as vibrant as the cardstock. So it makes the card look a little dull or something.

I may try to attempt this idea one more time with a better color choice. Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on myself that I always reach for pink? Look what happens when I venture outside the "Pink Zone." LOL!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #20

Happy Sunday! Another week has come and gone. My how time flies! Today is another great challenge from Rachel using a very beautiful cupcake picture as our inspiration. I know I say it almost every week, but these cupcakes are just too pretty to eat!

I honestly struggled with this one. So it was definitely a challenge. :) I think as pretty as the color purple is too me, it's not my friend when it comes to stamping. Or maybe I don't have enough variety of purple to play with?

Of course, just because this cupcake is full of purples, does not mean you have to go with the color scheme, but that's what jumped out at me when I saw this Cupcake Inpsiration. I was stuck on the purple and could not step outside of the box.

So after much thought and a shout out to my mojo I created this card using this past week's Sketch Challenge on SCS.

Isn't this image just adorable? I chose her because of her pretty flower. It reminded me a bit of the flowers on the cupcake. This is Hula Anya and you can get your very own over at Hope Stamps Eternal. I used Zva Creative Rhinestones (in purple) on the flower in her hair and also gave her a belly button ring with one. :) The brads are from Imaginisce and although you may not be able to tell in the picture they are glittery! I also added a tad bit of Stardust Stickles to the flower as well as to her flip flops.
